From gorgo@kwangju.net Sat Dec 20 00:17:50 1997 Date: Thu, 18 Dec 1997 13:38:50 +0900 From: Fred Herriot Subject: [fanfic][lemon][UY] "A Remarkable Destiny" Part XII "Top moe do'su?" Noa places her fingertips on Koosei's forehead. The vagabond lies on one of the two beds in the holding cell, the Sagussan and Lum staring concernedly at him. Noa concentrates, then shakes her head. "Nyo...Nyo'ne! Igh fagiha moemei'na!!" "Aghya, kaj chab Lyna!" Lum gasps, dropping to her knees. How would she explain this to Oyuki? Her lover was alive and well, but his mind was gone, his spirit shattered in ways even the Ipraedies or the Vosians could never dream. "Noavayae, hagh chu va'a'mugh?" Noa stares at her, her chestnut eyes glistening. "Lum...?" Why did the Oni call the Sagussan "my dearest Noa?" "Noavayae...taem do, ragh Darling va'nyo'ne," Lum smiles, then stares at her. "Noavayae...ragh do va." Noa sniffs, then kisses her. "Lumvayae...ragh do va...ragh do hang va! Hang..." They warmly embrace, then gaze at each other. "Noavayae, kagh va'anal va'a'dogh?" Lum pleads. *You're asking me THAT when Ataru and the others don't know where we've been taken?!* Noa blinks, then nods. "Aldagh nyo va." Lum looks down. Noa considers the point, then stares at her. "Lumvayae, ragh do va'chu?" *I just told you!!* Lum shudders, then blinks. Why would Noa want to make sure? "En." "Choghun," Noa nods, then gazes intently at her. "Lumvayae, ma do'shi va'su?" Lum's eyes widen. From their brief touching to brush up her language skills so they could converse without being eavesdropped on...not to mention Noa's bonding Lum and Ataru fourteen years ago ...she understood the implications of THAT phrase. "Magh...?" "Lumvayae..." Noa smiles, gently embracing her, "...ragh do wa Ataruvayae va...ragh do wa Ataruvayae hang va." "Noavayae!" Lum sniffs as they kiss, then nods. "En." Noa nods to the empty cot. Lum sits down on it. Noa then lays down on her lap, guiding the Oni's right hand to her forehead, holding that in place with her right hand as their left hands firmly grasp. Definitely not the most comfortable way of doing this, but if they did it the normal way, Gaylan might notice. "Marha-Nihonjo yagegh-Ataruvayae va." "Okay," Lum switches to Japanese as she feels her body being gently invaded by Noa's meisuyang as their minds begin to drift together. "Here's one thing about Darling you might not know..." In the monitor room some distance away, one of the guards stares at the two women relaxing, then gazes at a black leather book showing a diagram of two people kneeling before each other, their hands in a spider-fist grip on the other's faces. No, ensure they don't do that, the colonel told him. No problem. Besides, they were talking Japanese now... * * * "A Remarkable Destiny" a Urusei Yatsura lemon fic by Fred Herriot gorgo@kwangju.net **** **** **** Based on "Urusei Yatsura" created by Rumiko Takahashi **** **** **** NOTE: All standard lemon warnings apply. Already, she can feel the Sagussan's powerful mind open itself to her. It was hard to concentrate, but they had to do something to bond without alerting Gaylan and his playmates. "I was out one Sunday and I couldn't find Darling anywhere. So I assumed he went to see Shinobu; this is when we were still fighting over him. Well, Darling wasn't with her, but before I flew off to find him, she told me that there were things that Darling did that I didn't have the right to know." "How did you react?" Noa wonders. "I was angry; no surprise to you, I guess!" Lum feels her hips tremble as her body begins to arouse to the Sagussan's probing. Sensing her discomfort, Noa relaxes. Their minds were now bonded to the level of a Vosian pe'cha bond. Of course, marei'cha went much deeper. "So I flew off and tried to track him down. After about two hours, I finally spot him. Guess where?" "The children's aid centre in Nerima?" "How'd YOU know?!!" "Lum-chan, I've visited Earth once a year since I dropped Ataru off after his visit to Sagussa!" Noa giggles. "Yes, I am aware of his trips to the Nerima Children's Aid Centre; he's been doing it since he first entered junior high. Go on." Lum smiles. This was so sneaky! Gaylan couldn't second-guess everything they did no matter how much he learned from Koosei. Oh, Koosei...! "Well, there he was on a blanket with a group of kids, between four and seven," she blinks to stem her tears. "And he had brought a big box of presents and some food and they were having a picnic. So, I moved to join them, but then Darling spots me." "What did he do?" "He didn't say anything. I was about ten metres away, but at that distance, I could see the look on his face! He was angrier than I'd ever seen him. So I just floated there for a moment, then when he turned to pay attention to the kids, I flew away crying." "What did you think?" "I was hurt, Noa-chan!!" Finally, things were firming up. Stay dumb, idiots! "He was doing something and wouldn't let me come join him...and then I remembered Shinobu's words, how he wanted to keep things from me! Then I got really angry for a moment...and then...then I remembered the children." "How did they act when he was with them?" "They..." Lum sniffs. No, couldn't wipe her face just yet; almost done. "...they were calling him Uncle Ataru and all that, thinking he was a big Santa Claus doing such nice things. And I realized that those kids needed him, wanted him to be there." Noa relaxes. Done. They were together, just as she had dreamed. The Elder Mother wondered what her children would think of how she and their mashi'cha bonded. "They also wanted him to be a normal person, not someone with an Oni hanging over him." "I suppose. So I waited until he was done, then he walked up to me. And I'll never forget what he said: 'Do you have to know EVERYTHING about your *husband's* life?!' Then he walked away." "Well, that's what you thought yourself as, right?" "Yes, I did," Lum reaches up to wipe her eyes, then returns to holding Noa's hand. "But you could hear the sarcasm in his voice, the anger he felt at having his privacy invaded like that. It was the first time I ran into his resentment for my being in his life. I wish...I wish I would've thought it over then. Maybe it would've made things a lot easier between us." "But he forgave you, didn't he?" "Oh, yes!" Lum nods, smiling. "When he got home, his mother demanded to know where he was. He tells her that since she never loved him, he didn't have to tell her a thing, so she runs into the kitchen crying, wishing he was never born as usual. Lyna, why did I never listen to things like that?!" "You wanted a perfect home, remember?" "Some perfect home. Anyhow, next thing, Ten-chan then flies up wondering where he was and Darling takes a skillet and smashes him out of the house with it! He goes upstairs, where Ten-chan tries to fry him, but I zap him and tell him to go to my ship until he learned his lesson. He flies away crying, then when we were alone, I apologized to him for ruining his privacy." "How did he react?" "He just looked at me for a moment...then he said that he wouldn't mind bringing me to the Children's Aid Centre when he went every month...always on the fourth Sunday...but he didn't know how the children would react to an alien. So I promised that every month on that day, I'd ensure that he got to Nerima undisturbed. I knew Shinobu knew what he was up to, but he asked me to ensure that no one else, not the guards, not Ten-chan, not his parents nor any of my friends would know what he did." "You want to know why?" Noa gazes at her. "Remember what he said about pretending to be an idiot so people wouldn't suspect things? Where did you think he got the money for all those toys?" "Well, it wasn't the allowance his parents gave him; it wouldn't buy enough...oh!!" Lum's eyes widen. Another mystery solved. "An allowance from his grandmother!!" "Right!" Noa nods, smiling. "It's a hundred million yen's worth every month. Anyhow, every year when I came to look in on Ataru, I made sure that I visited when he was outside Tomobiki; I didn't want to be recognized by you, Lan or Ten-chan. By the way, how did you make sure no one ever found out about those visits?" "That's the easy part!" Lum holds up a finger. Noa mentally "sees" the lightning dancing under the skin, but with the dampening fields in the cell, there was no way Lum could use her powers to zap their way out. Thanks to her exposure to the regeneration matrix, Lum's horns had grown back in virtually overnight. "It didn't take Ten-chan long to assume that Darling was doing something behind my back, so the next person he tells is Megane. The guards and Shutaro find out about it, then resolve to find out Darling's nefarious secret! So, since Shinobu and I knew the story, we pitched in stop them. Shinobu had Shutaro take her on a day trip somewhere while all I did was zap the guards to make them go home, then zap Ten-chan to make sure he never tried to follow Darling! Over a while, everyone came to understand that we wanted to be left alone on those days, so we could go to Nerima to see the kids. They even started calling me 'Auntie Lum!'" "Good for you," Noa sits up, wrapping her arms around the Oni as they softly kiss. <> she psionically adds. <> <> Lum smiles. <> she looks up at the small cameras at the corner of the cells. <> Noa winks. <> <> <<*Tcha!*>> Lum nods, then looks up. "Hmmm...if my days aren't screwed up, Darling would've gone to Nerima today to see the kids. I hope that I'll be able to visit soon." "Yeah, he'll go," Noa smiles. "He'll make them happy, then he'll come rescue us and make us happy...all the way to Phentax Twenty-three, right, boys?!" she looks up at the cameras. "Oh, so, that's where we are!" Lum snorts. "Boy, and I heard Colonel Gaylan was imaginative!! Anyone'd know where we are if he asked the Church of Hollywood to help him kidnap us! Dumb!!" Outside, the guards snort. So they figured out where they were. No harm done; how would they send out an SOS? * * * "Phentax Twenty-three?!!" Honey leaps up, then shakes her head. "Damn you, Noa, could you've told us more?!!" "What is it, Honey-chan?!" Oyuki gazes worriedly at her. They were now in their bedroom aboard the "Hasei'cha." With the search focusing on the last planet in the Phentax system, everyone who'd be going on the rescue was spending as much time as possible on the warpsloop in case they had to head out right away. Travel time was under an hour at transwarp speed, a velocity which made the "Hasei'cha" completely undetectable in case someone had listening posts in their path...though if they left Earth at night, they'd take their time getting there so the rescue team could sleep before going into action. Besides, Gaylan couldn't listen to any of Oogi's observers. None were on Earth anymore; in fact, they'd be beamed in from Triton to Phentax Two sometime today. Oyuki then concentrates, sensing the feelings from her bond- mate. Her eyes widen with delight. "Lum-chan, Noa-chan...they're bonded!!" she cries out as they embrace. "Yeah, they did it!!" Honey smiles as they kiss. Oyuki then places her fingertips on Honey's face to send a message. <> <> Honey warns... * * * <> Lum concentrates as she and Noa hold hands, gently kissing. To outside observers, it would appear as if they were just two scared young women taking comfort in each other's company in a time of grave danger. <> <> Oyuki reports. <> <> Noa sighs. <> She rises, heading to the barred window to gaze outside. It offered a good view. <> she takes in the countryside, then looks down. <> With that, Noa turns to head back, then stops. <> * * * "Koosei-kun!!!" Oyuki wails as she collapses into Honey's embrace, sobs bursting from her as the horrors of what had been inflicted on him are transmitted from Noa. "Oh, Oyuki-chan!!" Honey sniffs, tightly embracing her. <> <> Noa replies, then the contact fades. Honey remains silent as Oyuki weeps, then reaches for her intercom. "Honey to Feb." "Yes, Honey?" the fleet shipmistress calls back. "Just psi-linked with Noa and Lum. They're on Phentax Twenty- three in a castle surrounded by a good-sized refugee camp or shanty town. Have the rovers investigate." "Acknowledged." * * * "We found them?!!" Benten howls. "Fuckin'...!!" Shinobu and Priss slap her mouth closed. "Can you curb the language for a bit, tiger?" the latter sighs. "We are with a young boy and we're about to be with a whole pack of kids!" "It's okay, Priss-onee-chan! I'm used to Benten!" Ten-chan smiles as he floats beside Nene and Linna, dressed in a miniature Pathfinder's jumpsuit complete with chief petty officer's rank. "Well, others aren't, Ten-chan," Priss lets go of Benten. "Sorry!!" the Fukunokami sighs. "But why're we visiting a bunch of orphans when Lum and Noa are in big trouble?!" "Benten, Ataru-kun's been doing this for almost six years," Shinobu smiles. Like the other Sagussans and their Daimon'cha, she was carrying a large box of toys Ataru had people buy over the last couple of days with the money he had collected over the years from his grandmother's monthly allowance. "Lum has never once stopped him. Besides, we may know the planet, but we don't know exactly where. This'll just take a couple of hours, then we'll be right back aboard the 'Hasei'cha' ready to go." "Oh, okay!!" Benten sighs. The group walks onto the front lawn of a beautiful brick home marked with a signpost declaring NERIMA CHILDREN'S AID CENTRE. Suddenly, a whole pack of unruly pre-teens leaps out of the shadows to swarm Ataru. "UNCLE ATARU!!!!!!" they scream as they try to drag him down to their level to get at his presents. "Hi!!!" Ataru embraces several. "Were you waiting long?!" "We just got here!" one boy reports. "Uncle Ataru, is it true that you're going to another planet?!" "Yep," he stands up, showing off his duty jumpsuit. "Nice clothes they gave me, huh?! Who wants candy?!" "I do, I do, I do!!" a dozen children cry out. Ataru breaks out his box, giving everyone lollipops. "Here you go!" he smiles, then notices the boy who first talked to him. "What's wrong, Kin'ya-chan? Why're you so sad?" "Ah, no one's come to adopt me," the young brown-haired six year old shrugs. "I wish people were like you, coming down to see us and all that. Why aren't they?" "Some people don't like to give that extra effort," Ataru sighs, then reaches into his box to pull out a package. "I wish I could make a better effort than I already am." Kin'ya smiles, then takes the package. "Thanks, Uncle Ataru," he hugs the Daimon'cha, then sits down to open his package. Benten and Ten-chan watch this, surprised that Ataru had been doing this all the time they've known him, then the former kneels beside the Daimon'cha. "What's his story?" she nods to Kin'ya. "He's been here for almost three years," Ataru sighs. "Every month, he wants to tell me someone wants to adopt him. Every month, he comes up to me disappointed because no one seems to care for him outside me and the staff here." Benten gazes at the child, who smiles on seeing the beautiful toy race car Ataru got him, then frowns, her eyes stinging. Then a hand lands on her shoulder. She looks up to see Priss staring at her. The smile on the coxswain's face speaks volumes. She then gazes at Ataru. "Who can we talk to? About them?" "The director's Mrs. Kokoroyo," he nods to the middle-aged matron-like woman coming down from the office. "Hello, Ataru-kun!" Kokoroyo beams as she bows to him, then smiles at Shinobu. "Shinobu-san, you're here, too! I'm so glad that Ataru-kun was able to bring some of his friends today!" "More than happy to this time," Ataru stands to make the introductions. "Everyone, these ladies are Pathfinder Troop Six, some of Sagussa's best soldiers. For those of you who haven't met her before, this is my classmate Shinobu Miyaki; she's agreed to come to Sagussa with us. And this is Sylia, Reinoevan or Rei, Asukanoevan or Asuka, Linna, Nene, Priss, Benten and the little Pathfinder-wanna be is Lum's cousin Ten-chan." "Uncle Ataru, where's Auntie Lum?" a girl looks up. "Couldn't she come down today?" "'Auntie Lum?!'" Benten and Ten-chan exchange looks. "She couldn't come today, Chigaiko-chan," Ataru sighs, patting her hand. "Some very bad people took her away from me, so I have to go out and find her. But I know that she would've wanted me to give you this!!" he hands her a big package. To Benten's and Shinobu's embarrassment, it is a package of eight dolls modelled after Pathfinder Troop Six, right down to the Fukunokami's hair and sash chains! "Oh, thank you, Uncle Ataru!!" Chigaiko embraces him, then sits down to undo the package. "Ataru-kun, who made those dolls?!" Shinobu demands. "I got Megane to do them in miniature!" Ataru smiles, then looks at Chigaiko. "Now, Chigaiko-chan, shouldn't you also thank the girls for allowing you to have dolls of them?!" "Okay!" Chigaiko walks over to warmly embrace Sylia and Shinobu. "Thank you, Auntie Sylia, Auntie Shinobu! Your dolls are just as beautiful as you!" "You're welcome, Chigaiko-chan!" Sylia smiles as she and her bond-mate kiss the girl on the cheeks. She then runs to embrace everyone else. "They're a delight," Asuka smiles at Ataru, then laughs as Chigaiko hugs her. "You're welcome! Just make sure Asuka-chan there stays with Rei-chan!" "Okay!!" the young girl nods, then hugs Rei. "They're all beautiful," Priss smiles, then looks at Kin'ya. "Hey, Kin'ya-chan, don't sit there alone! Come join us!!" He looks at the Pathfinder, then nods as he comes over. "They all have such motherly instincts, Ataru-kun," Mrs. Kokoroyo muses. "In fact, I'd be tempted to ask them to put their names in." The Sagussans gaze at her. "You mean...it would be permitted for us to adopt these children?" Asuka wonders. "Well, I'm not so sure, Asuka-san," the matron shrugs. "You see, the government hasn't even come close to considering policy for orphans being adopted by non-Terrans, even people like you. Even if I did put your names down, I would have no idea when if ever you'd be able to take them into custody." "We came at such an inopportune time," Sylia muses, staring at Chigaiko, who was now combing the Asuka doll's brown hair with a toy brush. "We just confirmed which planet Lum and Noa are on. Once we find out exactly where they are, we'll be off to rescue them. But I can tell you, ma'am, there are a hundred thousand women on Sagussa who'd adopt these children on the spot, especially in the defence community since we really have little to do other than enforce your planet's sovereignty." "How I wish it went so easy," Kokoroyo muses, then nods to a lonely girl beside a maple tree. "Minami-chan there just came in two weeks ago; her parents died in an auto accident. But as you know, Ataru-kun, children can remain here their whole young lives, leave this place as adults, having never known the love of a real home. Kin'ya-chan's been here for three years. Yet...it's so hard at times. There are times I want to give up." "Don't," Ataru shakes his head. "You'd be doing them an even greater disservice by turning your back on them now." "What about you, Ataru-kun?" she gazes at him sadly. "From protector of one planet to being king of another...I assume that's what 'Daite'cha' means. When will you come back to see them?" "I wish I could answer that, ma'am, I really do," he sighs, his eyes watering. "For all Sagussa's coming has done to Shinobu- chan, Benten-chan and everyone else, even Lum-chan...it's my life that's changed most of all. But no matter what, I'll always still be their Uncle Ataru...in my heart." She nods, knowing the pain he must be feeling. "Ma'am, if I may propose something," Sylia coughs. "Each of us on Sagussa has an android double. One of their purposes is to step in our shoes whenever we need to be two places at once. When we go to rescue Lum and Noa, will you permit them to remain with the children? At least someone would be playing with them all the time." "Oh, yeah!" Ten-chan floats up to her. "You'll like them, ma'am! I already know Linna-onee-chan's and Nene-onee-chan's doubles; they stay with me whenever Linna-onee-chan and Nene-onee- chan have to go out to do something!" "Well, I don't see why not...are they safe?!" Kokoroyo hums. "If anyone comes to hurt these kids, they'll be leaving in a body cast, if not a body bag!" Priss winks. "Hey, why don't we get Eluza and the crew in on this?! We've got thirteen kids; one for each couple here means four kids are taken, so that'll leave nine for the others. We've got how many couples on the 'Hasei'cha?'" "Eluza-Pony, Shildy-Ryooko, Patty-Rumy, Mie-Makoto, Hotaru- Setsuna, Spea-Amy...and heck, the Lufy-Catty-Ryuunosuke-Nagisa- Rabby fivesome could handle three kids on their own!" Ataru muses, then smiles. "Hey, we got them covered! Ataru to Eluza," he stabs his wrist-comm. "Get everyone mustered up and beam down here. We have nine children looking for potential parents." "We're on our way, Ataru; we'll bring presents, too!" Eluza laughs; everyone on Sagussa knew what Ataru did on these days. "Eluza, bring some instruments and my biwa," Benten yells out. "Let's give these kids a real good time." "We'll bring everything!" Eluza promises. "Thank you, Ataru-kun," Kokoroyo beams. Meanwhile, Ten-chan has floated over to Minami, who seems to be staring sadly into space. "Hi!" he smiles. She stops, then looks at him. "You're an Oni." "Yeah, but I'm not the type of Oni you know..." "I know you're an alien," Minami smiles. "What's your name?" "Jariten...Ten-chan. You're Minami, right?" "Yes," she nods. Boy, he was so cute. "Wanna be friends?" "Sure!!" he nods, sitting beside her. Linna and Nene walk up. "Hi, Minami-chan," the former kneels. "I'm Linna and this is Nene, my bond-mate. We're two of Ataru's and Ten-chan's friends. Won't you come to be with the rest of us?" "I'd like to be alone...ur, I did," Minami sighs. "I don't know many of the other kids." "We know that," Nene kneels down, then pulls out a present. "Here! Ataru didn't forget you!!" Sure enough, Minami got another set of Pathfinder Troop Six dolls. "Oh, thank you!" she embraces the two Sagussans. "I love dolls!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" "You're welcome," Linna kisses her, then gazes knowingly at Nene. Losing Ten-chan wouldn't hurt so much now... * * * "You want to know what Darling'll be doing right now?" Lum and Noa relax on their bunk, trying their best to ignore Koosei, who was aimlessly babbling as his shattered mind jumped from one wild thought to another. "No, what?" Noa smiles. They already knew; they both could sense it through the Sagussan's bond with her sister thousands of light-years away. "They'll be all there," Lum sighs. "Darling would bring Shinobu and maybe Ten-chan, Benten and Oyuki. Maybe ask Sylia's team or Eluza's team to come visit. And all of them would want to adopt those children. There were a dozen when I was last there; Darling told me another had been brought in, a poor girl who lost her parents in an auto wreck. The oldest is Kin'ya, a real spunky boy. Benten would like him very much; did you know she's adopted?" "I know," Noa smiles. "If Priss goes down there, her voice alone would make those kids love her. If the 'Hasei'cha' crew are there, then you can guarantee those kids'll have a good time. They form a ship's band, the Eternal Band. Every time the whole crew got out of cryofreeze, they practiced before doing anything, even working on their ship..." Outside, the two guards exchange surprised looks. What sort of man was Ataru Moroboshi, what sort of people were the Sagussans? Wasting their time with orphaned children when loved ones were in danger...or were they powerful enough to worry about the innocent as well as pursue the guilty? Both, when they got off-shift, would go into the shanty town to care for the children orphaned by the governor's desire to break the pagan churches by starving them out. Already, most of the ten thousand living on this island were children without parents. When Ataru rescued Lum and Noa...would he make allowances for the children? Also monitoring the conversation between Lum and her bond-mate was Suisei in her office a floor up. She was scanning a copy of Koosei's notes, trying to understand the powers Noa's people welded. They had a personal connection to a psychic web called the Dreamscape. No one had an idea how to stop Noa from flashing a message out. Chances were good that Lum and Noa were now bonded; did both have to touch the other's face to be marei'cha? Her eyes flash as she comes to a decision, then makes a call. "Hello, Rakko? Suisei! Did those observers make it back...oh, just now?! Good! Get the camera crews ready; we'll make the transmission in an hour. Yes, the most secure frequency we can manage..." * * * "I'm sorry, Mr. President, but NONE of them have any knowledge of Sagussa," a Niphentaxian Kuromegane shakes his head. Oogi howls with rage as he glares at the dazed spies he had sent long ago to observe the Holy City. Now, he had NO idea what was going on with the Goddess and Her Holy Company...and for him, that spelt trouble. Without new Revelations, how could he maintain his control? "Prepare to send a squadron to Earth to investigate HOW this happened!!" he hisses, then storms back into his palace. "Yes, sir," the Kuromegane nods. Oogi storms into his private office, where a secretary dressed as Sakura awaits him. "What is it?" the president demands. "Sir, a recording from the colonies!" she shudders, gripping her pendant to protect herself from the horrible creature who had make her existence known. "It's the pagan Suisei!!" Oogi blinks. "Put it on! Let's see what she wants!" The secretary presses a button, then withdraws. A large screen at one end of the room turns on, revealing Suisei. "Hello, Oogi! Did I catch you at a bad time?! Don't bother trying to track this; it's recorded and zipped so you can't backtrack the message to the source! Anyhow, I hear the Maidens of the Eternal Voyager have removed your spies from Tomobiki!! Isn't that too bad; I wonder how the Faithful of Lum will react when they see THIS!!!!" she dramatically waves behind her. Oogi bolts to his feet. "***LUM-SAMA!!!!!!***" * * * "SUISEI, YOU IDIOT!!!!!!" Gaylan howls as he stares at the recorded message from his private office in one of the castle's towers, then shakes his head, knowing what must be happening... * * * In orbit over Phentax Twenty-three, one of the ten Rover units assigned to search this world, Rover Papa-Two-Six-Six, extends its probe to scan a fair-sized island in the middle of the planet's largest ocean. Sure enough, a castle like the one Ashi'cha Noa reported to her sister stands on a small hill, surrounded by a fair sized temporary village. Scans indicate ten thousand residents, many of them young children. Switching to the more sensitive but easily spoofed DNA scanners, Rover P-266 sends a tight beam scan into the castle...and strikes gold! It then extends a communications antennae to send a message to Earth, then relays the same message to its proper controller, now somewhere in the galactic core looking for his lost sister... * * * "...and if you don't disband your government, fire all the governors, disestablish the Church of Lum as the One True Faith and surrender yourself for crimes against your people, your 'goddess' will be executed as an enemy of the Niphentaxian race!!" Suisei glares at Oogi. "This has been transmitted to the colonies, all news agencies and even to Uru; I'm sure Lum's father will want to know. You have two standard days, Oogi. Use them wisely!" Oogi shudders as the tape ends, then glares at his hands. He had to control this right now or else he was in trouble. Staring at his chief advisors, he rises. "Get word to all the colonies! All copies of this tape are to be seized at once; they're not to be transmitted out!! Then have our ambassador in Onishuto demand to know when the Urusians are going to throw those harpies and the Great Evil off Earth and if they need help!!! GO!!!!" "Yessir!!!" the aides run out of the office... * * * Gaylan shakes his head. He understood where Suisei was coming from. Outside the castle were starving people she was trying to keep alive. Not just to keep the Church of Hollywood alive, but for the basic premise of keeping people alive, people whose government abandoned them ages ago. Just like his government abandoned his team twenty years ago on Okusei in the midst of a sea of Ip'ihu ready to butcher Urusians just for being Urusians. Gaylan still dreamt of his men, good men. He had vowed that one way or another, the bastards who abandoned them would pay for what they did. But he knew he needed more than just to kill Lum to do that. He needed a power that not even the Imperials controlling the Urusian Defence Force could counter. He needed the power of the Maidens of the Eternal Voyager. He needed Sagussa. But a small, weak boy named Ataru Moroboshi stood in the way. The colonel sighs, regretting that he had to torture Koosei to get the information he wanted. That prodded the Daishi'cha into action, moving them to Earth so they could shield Ataru and his world from outside harm. No problem there; like with Suisei and her famished brood outside, Earth needed all the protection it could get. If he had Sagussa in the palm of his hand, he'd do the same thing, just to spite bastards like Yethis. But still, his men cried out to him at nights, begged him to settle accounts with the bastards who'd sent them to die. And now, thanks to Suisei, who had her own score to settle with Oogi; the Sagussans, the people who's power he needed to avenge his men, would know EXACTLY where Lum and Noa were. Those damn probes, the Rover units, would hound his every move. He couldn't hope to move Lum and Noa to a more secure camp before the Sagussans came. For he understood one thing. That small, weak boy named Ataru Moroboshi was now an ANGRY small boy with power beyond his wildest dreams, hell-bent on saving his loves from the slimy bastards who'd kidnapped them. And once he knew where to go, he'd come...and make war on anyone stupid enough to get in his way. And if things went wrong, Ataru could grab Lum and Noa, probably kill Gaylan, then get away...and the colonel's men would remain unavenged. No, that wouldn't do. Well, angry small boys could be predicted in a fashion, then made to do something constructive. All Gaylan needed right now was a little help...and that meant a phone call to Lumukyou... * * * "*Henry, what does this mean? Why do we care about what non- Sagussans do? These Niphentaxians are pathetic creatures.*" "*Those pathetic creatures as you so much like to call them, Cassandra, now hold our Elder Mother and her bond-mate hostage in hopes of making our First Father surrender us into Gaylan Poksu's hands. Remember, ours isn't to ask why.*" "*So?! Just get in there, beam out the two, then blow the planet up! That takes care of them all!!*" "*Cassandra, we DON'T blow up planets full of innocent people, even if they are misdirected, not with OUR First Father.*" "*Feh! You go out and find them, little brother! I prefer to destroy them and let the Creator figure it out!! It's safer!*" "*You always had that flutter in your mainframe, didn't you? Well, you might not be disappointed. If Oogi is as fanatic in his loyalty to Lum as witnessed when he try to destroy Lecashuto, then you might have all the action you'll want.*" "*Oh, goody! Let's go!!*" Soaring from the galactic core, two ten kilometre long wedge- shapes turn their bows for Earth's home system, then race off... * * * *Ding!* "Argh!! It always happens at the worst time!!!" Janny and Negau moan as they enjoy a tender kiss, then the former leaps out of her bed to head to her personal comm-station, which was linked to her post on the "Lyna'cha's" bridge. Sitting down, the Tritonian-born woman gazes at the reading, then makes a hard-copy. "Damn, we found them!!!" she whoops, then smiles at her bond-mate, who has walked over to join her. "We found your sister, Negau-chan. She's alright." "And Noa-sama?" Negau breathes a sigh of relief. "They're both okay. Read it." Janny gazes at her. "It's a dungeon, more like a gulag for the condemned!" the Oni shudders, wishing she had the full powers of a Sagussan to better express her feelings to Janny. But she wouldn't be going for regen until later that evening. "Most of the people on Phentax Twenty- three are from the older churches, the ones the Church of Lum call heretics. They get no food, no water...they're just put out there to starve to death! The governor there keeps one small city alive and well because most of the people there worship my sister!!" "Lyna's Soul!!" Janny exclaims, then stabs the intercom button. "Janny to Feb! We just found Lum and Noa...but there's something else you have to know!" * * * "Oogi here." "President Oogi? This is Colonel Gaylan Poksu of the Urusian Defence Force Special Forces Brigade." Oogi blinks. Still, the face on his vidphone screen, while aged, was unmistakable. "Colonel Gaylan?! Forgive me for saying so, sir, but aren't you supposed to be dead?" "I was lucky, son," the colonel stares neutrally at him. "My men weren't. You don't have to concern yourself with it, though." "So what can I do for you, sir?" "I allied myself with the Church of Hollywood to capture Lum," the colonel crosses his arms. "Now, before you get into a huff, son, you listen well. If you worship Lum, I won't stop you. My business is settling a score with Lum's father. However, I think I can do more harm to Lum's father than by just killing her." "If you spare Lum-sama, many would be very grateful," Oogi shudders. If Lum died, who knew WHAT would happen! "What if I handed her to you?" Gaylan stares at the president. "Son, I'm after a really big fish and Lum's the key to getting it. You may probably be aware of what's happened to Ataru Moroboshi." "That devil!!" Oogi screams. "I thought as much," Gaylan snorts. Oogi was as much a small, weak boy as Ataru. Easily manipulated. "Now, would you feel safe if you knew the power of Sagussa was in HIS hands?!" "Admittedly, no. We can only guess how he might react to us." "So why don't you join me and take a little precaution to keep our galaxy safe from that boy?" Gaylan smiles. "I know exactly where Lum is. She's on Hinan-shima on Phentax Twenty-three. Now, you've been hoping for a long time to get rid of the old pagan churches. I know Suisei is dead serious about killing her. How soon can you have a force here to stop her?" "In a day's time," Oogi steeples his fingers. "And how will you kill Moroboshi? He'll be surrounded by those harpies..." "I know...but look who else I have prisoner." Oogi stares at the picture of Noa. "Meet the lady who psi- bonded Lum to Ataru Moroboshi fourteen years ago. Her name's Noa, Daishi'cha One-nine-two-eight-two. She's a very high-ranked person on Sagussa, perhaps their most important socially. You can have her, too...perhaps try and execute her for doing what she did to your Goddess and the Great Evil?" "I see," Oogi leans back. "If I have her, her people might be inclined to see reason...perhaps if they turned their back on Moroboshi, I could grant clemency and let Noa go?" "Exactly," Gaylan nods. "They're naive little girls, so you can be sure they'll do whatever you ask. We'll be waiting...and make sure you force commander's not a trigger-happy lunatic!" The screen goes dark. Oogi bites his lip. While he cringed at dealing with one who allied himself with the pagans threatening to kill Lum, the idea of having the Goddess brought to the worlds of Her Faithful did present all sorts of possibilities. Besides, Suisei was the most powerful of the heretics. Kill her and the resistance against the True Faith would collapse. Yes, he would do it...and one more thing. "Get my fleet commanders in here!!" he barks outside. "We're going to Earth to remind the Terrans what the Truth Faith is!!!" * * * "Oh, these two are slick little bastards!" April snarls as she glares at the latest report from Rover P-266. "Actually putting a force out to kill those people in our way to confuse us while Oogi whisks away with Noa and Lum. Cute!" "That son of a bitch!!" Invader snarls. The captain had come aboard the "Lyna'cha" when the news of Lum's and Noa's discovery had come in. He now stood with the battlecruiser's crew, Negau, Megane, Chibi and Paama on the bridge. "He's going to let that slime Oogi butcher a whole bunch of orphaned kids just to distract Mr. Groom?! Damn, I doubted his men would've liked that!!" "Agreed," Feb sighs. "Jun, ETA Gatherer?!" "Ten minutes," Jun looks up. "Sitrep from Papa-Six-oh-nine. Fleet-wide broadcast to all Niphentaxian Defence Force units. They've been ordered to prepare to move out to invade Earth." "WHAT?!?!?!" Invader bellows. "They can't do that!!!" "Oh, this is cute!" Jun snorts. "Here's his reason why: Oogi now believes that the Sagussan presence on Earth is contrary to the better interests of the Galactic Federation, is actually a threat to the Federation's internal security! He's going to broadcast his intentions to the other Federation states and elicit their support. What's more important: coddling Ataru Moroboshi or protecting the Federation from the Ipraedies?!" "Wonderful!" Invader throws up his hands. He could guess what some of the Federation chiefs would think. Actually ALLOW Ataru Moroboshi, whose reputation as a girl-chasing idiot went far and wide, to dictate policy to the Galactic Federation?! Damn, it had taken him a long time to like Lum's would-be husband...and after he had made contact with the Sagussans, there was NOTHING Invader hated about Ataru! Try to convince everyone else of that! "Actually, Oogi's got potential as a strategic thinker," Feb muses. "It's good plan to reassert Federation hegemony over Earth. The Galactic Federation is dependent on Phentax Two for a lot of its defensive strength, so they'd be loath to allow that to be destroyed. They'd be forced to fall behind Oogi just to save their skins; you can bet a thousand pyogh the Ipraedies are watching this with great interest! We destroy the Niphentaxian fleet and the Ipraedies would invade in the blink of an eye, so the Federation would have to demand we withdraw." "Feb, your crystal ball's scary at times!" April shudders. "Wait a moment!" Megane cuts in. "Captain, if I understand this, you have to make the Federation heads trust Ataru, right? So you can do that! Hell, show them pictures of Ataru giving presents to those kids in Nerima, then explain to them why Ataru had to keep quiet about his grandma! I don't think no one wouldn't understand the threat of the Zephyrites." "Good point!" April nods. "And with us here, the Zephyrites have already declared this system under Sagussa's protection." "The Federation heads would recognize that as protection enough against the Ipraedies, so the loss of the Niphentaxian fleet won't hurt so much," Feb adds. "How much space are we talking about?" Megane wonders. "Can the Ipraedies invade everyone at once?" "No," Feb shakes her head. "Even with the Niphentaxians gone, their best road is to take Earth-Triton and break the Federation in half. Divide and conquer." "Yeah...and WE'RE here now, so they can't do that!" Megane smiles. "It's a win-win for the Federation far as I can see!" "Feb, you're corrupting this boy!" Invader smiles. "I always wanted my surei'cha to be smart," Feb laughs. Megane flushes as everyone smiles. "May-chan, didn't you tell me of things the Gatherer did for other peoples?" Chibi wonders. The ship's engineer nods. "Yes. A thousand years ago, the Gatherer drove the Dominion from Uru, just before he terraformed Triton for the Neptunians. There was the time a thousand Tengu were rescued from some person called the Celestial Toymaker. There was the time Spotak's boom-tube technology was corrupted by a virus; Henry took care of that. Now, Henry is believed to have provoked the Atomic Wars on Zeiwan...just before he got his cloaking device...but he also spent time cleaning up radiation, which shortened the Post-Atomic Horror by decades. And there was the time Henry destroyed the Ultimate Weapon the Kamahanites were ready to use on the Mikado some fifty years ago." "The Gatherer's also helped planets like Gomiana avoid being tromped on by the Mikado's people," Janny adds. "Henry saved Nassur seven years ago right after he met Dakejinzou Shogai." "Son of a gun, I never knew that!" Invader smiles. "Feb, if you get me those mission tapes, I'll match that thousand pyogh and get everyone in the Federation on Sagussa's side." "I'll do that," Feb nods. "Jun, has the Gatherer arrived?" "Just came in now...Lyna!!!" Jun gapes. "Ma'am, I've got something of a sensor echo here; I'm picking up two Gatherers!!" "It's not an echo, Jun; check the second's pennant number." Jun blinks. "NBS-...zero-six-one." Everyone stares at the fleet shipmistress as she stares ahead of the "Lyna'cha." Invader gapes as the Gatherer's tan bulk slides into orbit above the battlecruiser...followed by ANOTHER Gatherer in tan-and-black which assumes a holding station thirty kilometres away. "Captain, may I present the Eliminator...the Gatherer's sistership, the first Type 61 superdreadnought." "*Cassandra!!!*" Bianca cries out. "*How are you?!*" "*Bianca?!*" a sultry woman's voice echoes on the bridge. "*By the Creator, is that what they call you?! What're you doing on that command cruiser?!*" "*Got no choice, Cass; same as you! Welcome back!!*" "That goes for all of us, Cassandra," Feb adds. "Bianca, send over all data to Cassandra to get her up to speed." "*Yes, Feb. She's got it.*" "*I see...oh, my, you picked a randy one for the First Father, eh?*" Cassandra titters. "*Oh, it makes me wish just a bit to be organic...then I'd get bored! So, three thousand little scows and a dozen or so planet-destroyer guns, eh?! Feh, target practice! How many can I kill before you want me to stop? Preferably all of them, of course; I DO have a reputation to keep, you know.*" Everyone sweats. "That's one scary lady!!" Paama whistles. "*Of course, Shitto-san,*" Cassandra purrs. "*After all I've seen of you organics, I've come to understand one thing. There's one constant in life...it **ends!!** And I'm so well primed to see to it that happens whenever it's necessary!*" Feb icily smiles at Invader. "Tell me, Captain...how do you think the Ipraedies, the Vosians or the Dominion would react when they learn we have a borderline psychotic computer controlling our primary offensive strategic weapon?" The Urusian shudders. How would the FEDERATION react?! * * * "Cassandra?!!" Ataru exclaims. "Lyna, what's Feb up to?!" "Who knows," Eluza shrugs as everyone relaxes with their charges on the front lawn of the Nerima Children's Aid Centre. As far as she was concerned, let Cassandra remain in the galactic core; she was WAY too unstable to be let loose save on a very tight leash! "Still, given the Niphentaxians' fanaticism, confronting something that can match that can be useful." Ataru hums, sitting back to think about it... * * * "Hey, this is one awesome ship!" Paama whistles as he follows Janny and Negau onto the Eliminator's bridge. "Why'd they leave her all the way out in the middle of nowhere?!" "*I wish someone'd tell me!*" Cassandra sniffs. "*I can't help it if I like my work so much!!*" "Relax, Cass!" Janny smiles as she finishes her diagnostic. With the Niphentaxian threat to Earth, Ataru ordered that the Sagussans see to this system's defence before the "Hasei'cha" and Pathfinder Troop Six headed out to rescue Lum and Noa. Besides, most of those two crews were busy getting to know a small group of children looking for homes. "We want to be up to snuff on all fronts before getting to work." "*Why delay? If you don't wish to lose the Ashi'cha and her bond-mate, go now! I can do the job myself, you know.*" "Sorry, Cass...organic mixed-up priorities, I'm afraid," Janny muses. "The Daimon'cha and the teams assigned to Noa's and Lum's rescue are busy entertaining some orphan children." A pause. "*Orphaned? As in...abandoned?*" "Some. Others who've lost their families...or who couldn't care for them because of financial reasons, things like that." Another pause. "*I know how that feels.*" "So do I," Negau sighs. "Sagussa seems to attract them, eh, Cassandra-san? You could be the den-mother of us all." "You were abandoned?" Paama wonders. "Yes," Negau nods. "My family, the Renning House, is as pro- Imperial as they get on Uru. I've always hated what my ancestors did to the poor folk, the Noukiites. When they demanded I swear myself to the Union's overthrow, I refused. They disowned me." Paama shakes his head. Damn, he was the happiest of the four people...yes, Cassandra was a person...now aboard the Eliminator. Janny had searched long and wide for a bond-mate, getting one out of sheer luck. Negau had been cast out by her blood because she recognized truth from propaganda. Cassandra was an engine of destruction trying to understand why people hated and feared her, a doomsday device created by the Republic's predecessors, then cast out when she proved too capable of doing what she was made to do. All Shitto Paama could claim to be was the only son of a sports store owner and his wife, a normal guy who got sucked up into this craziness because he knew Ataru Moroboshi and Lum. He had a good life, could say he enjoyed it to a certain degree and wanted something more, which is why he now wore the light green- gold-and-red of Physical Education. His sports knowledge would be passed on to many people on Sagussa: baseball, volleyball, soccer, football, basketball, even the traditional Japanese sports, which he had tried from time to time. What could he do, what could he show to prove he could understand Janny, Negau or Cassandra? Rising, he walks into the shipmistress' bedroom. It is a vast affair, probably the largest such quarters in the Sagussan Navy. In the middle of it is a king-sized bed covered with rich silks and quilts. Holy shit, whoever last occupied this space must've been as arrogant as Mendou! Man, no wonder the Fourth Republic of Sagussa went down the tubes. Who'd like jerks like them? Sitting down, he lays back to gaze at the deckhead. What was he doing? Janny and Negau asked him to come with them, but he knew nothing about running this behemoth of a starship. Well, if they needed anything, he'd help. He liked them both very much. He knew Janny wanted him as surei'cha, which made him feel great; they'd already done the tamgh va ragh. But would Negau, still an Oni in thought and deed, go along with that even if she was admittedly bi? The door then opens, revealing Janny. "Bored, Shitto-kun?" "Out of my league!" Paama shakes his head. "Jan, why'd you ask me to come here with you. This ain't my game; why didn't you ask May or one of the other engineers from the monitors?" "Well, Henry did check out Cass' systems when he found her and brought her back; they ARE brother and sister, remember?" Janny sits beside him. "Besides, regulations state that an organic has to be aboard an active warship of the Sagussan Navy, which is what the Eliminator is, far more so than the Gatherer; he's programmed to act totally independent of organic control." "*I wouldn't mind that!*" Cassandra pouts. "We'll declaw you first, Cass," Janny sighs, then smiles at Paama. "Besides, Shitto-kun...I know of one thing which is way IN your league that you can do for Negau-chan and I." "What's that?" Paama gazes at her. Janny responds by swamping him with a deep kiss. Paama gasps as the Sagussan forces him onto the bed, then unbuckles her belt as her hands start to work on his jumpsuit collar. At first shocked that she had THIS in mind, Paama sighs as he slips his tongue into her north gate, his hands unlocking his wrist-bracelets so he could get the jumpsuit off and get funky with his lady! Or ladies. "Janny-chan, Shitto-kun!!" Negau purrs. Both turn to see the Oni lean sensuously at the doorway, the look in her eyes telling her what she wanted. "Shitto-kun, you already gave me a wonderful taste of your ram a couple days ago," Janny growls, projecting a sultry stare at Paama. "Care to give Negau-chan the ride of her life?!" "Oh, man..." Paama pants. Janny grabs his collars and nearly tears the jumpsuit off his shoulders, yanking it down to his waist. "Oooh, someone wants to come out and play!" she meows as she feels his ram rise to the occasion through his trousers, it now rubbing up in her cleavage. "C'mon, Negau-chan...get it while it's hot!!" Negau laughs as she dances to the bed, leaping onto the mattress as she delivers a beautiful kiss to Paama. He wraps one freed arm around her as his other leans over Janny's head to get at her uniform top. Janny was kissing his honed chest as she waited for her surei'cha to get her marei'cha naked. Negau pulls back as Paama slips off her glasses, then gazes at her face. She was plump in the cheeks, not too much. Baby fat, probably. It made her really cute with her green eyes, freckles, upturned nose and pouting lips than now wanted to be kissed. He obliges her, his hand moving to the top of the velcro strip holding her uniform in place. Her hand guides his to undo the strip. He pulls her tiger-striped jersey apart slowly, his lips kissing her neck, then diving down to her chest. Negau wore a strapless bikini top under her dress, the same style as Lum. Damn, this was Lum's adopted sister? He could be the luckiest of all the guards; he got a relative of their favourite Oni. Finally, he undoes the jersey, then helps her get out of it. Meanwhile, Janny is also at work, her hands undoing her skirt to expose a pair of bikini briefs also like Lum's. "Oooh, Jan, check this lady out!" Paama smiles. "Now, how should we give our lover pleasure?" Janny crawls over to Negau's other side. "You do her front, I'll get her north tower," she smiles as she gazes at Negau's horn, all ready for someone to suckle it. "Deal!" Paama wraps his hands loosely around Negau, then starts to kiss her throat again. Negau howls with delight as Janny's lips land on her horn, swirling around her bud with a slow tempo that really drove her crazy. Her south gate moistens as Janny continues her attack, her vision locked on that gorgeous bulge in Paama's pants. As her sanity begins to drain away, all she knows is that she wanted Paama's manhood in her, let it sunder her maidenhead and fill her with his wonderful seed. Her hands reach down to yank at his pants, dragging them down to free his quivering ram. Paama is in the same mood; he wants to yank that bikini off her so he could see her in all her glory. Without a second's hesitation, he reaches behind her to unsnap her top, freeing her small breasts from their prison. Before he could lean down to taste her milk, her hands rise up to cover herself. "Hey!" Paama blinks, gazing confusedly at her. "I don't like it when you look at them," Negau pleads. "Negau-chan!" Janny stares at her. "I'm flat!! I'm like a baby!" the Oni wails. Paama and Janny exchange looks. What a strange girl. Have her go to the "Lyna'cha's" pool to swim with everyone and she was fine. Get her for some two-on-one action and she cringed, feeling she wasn't adequate enough for them. He then smiles. "Touch me." "What?" Negau wonders. "Touch me," he nods down to himself. "He likes you." Negau blinks, staring at his straining ram. She had seen other boy's things before, had actually played with some of them though none had ever entered her. They were okay...so why was this man's ram causing her to heat up as if Janny was giving her horn bud her all? She then gazes into his eyes. A wild desire for her flashed back...and something else. Something deeper than desire, the same look Janny had given her since they bonded. Love. With that, she pulls her hands away from her breasts to gently touch his throbbing love engine. Paama smiles. "I think you're beautiful as you are, Negau-chan," he purrs as his tongue begins to fleck at her nipples. Janny returns to work on her horn, which soon drowns the Oni in a wild wave of passion. Growling, she began to stroke Paama's ram with all her might. She wanted it, wanted it badly and wanted it NOW!!!! Paama cries out as that furious stroking nearly makes him shoot his load right then and there, then his hands dart down to yank her bikini bottoms clear of her south gate. Janny stops on the horn to get them out of the way, then rolls Negau onto her back so she could better receive his hot love machine. Negau bends her knees as she guides Paama into her, yelping as his ram gongs her tower, then slides deep into her gate. He grunts as the tip strikes her door, then he draws back so he could get her wet enough to make this as comfortable as possible. Negau howls with delight as his stroking continues, then she feels her lust fade as she realizes his actions weren't enough. She grabs his shoulders and digs in with her fingernails. "Take me!!" she howls. Paama grunts, then slams his ram into and through her door at full throttle! Negau screams as the pain shoots up from her groin, then as it dulls, she starts to pant as he continues to thrust in and out of her gate, their passions building to the point where they'd both explode. Yet...where was Janny? Suddenly, a new musk drifts into her nose. Negau opens her eyes to see Janny's hairless south gate right over her face, the Sagussan leaning over her body so she can give Paama some mouth-to- mouth. Negau shudders for just a bit...Onis hated this sort of thing; after all, they had their horns...but Paama's thrusting into her washes that revulsion away. Besides, Janny licked her south gate when they first bonded. Negau didn't mind that and she didn't want to be seen as a hypocrite. Wrapping her arms around Janny's legs, Negau dips into her gate, which was now as moist as the Oni's. What one bond-mate feels, the other gets it full-force. Paama might as well be ramming his engine into both of them for the effect it has on Janny and Negau. Of course, when Negau and Paama both became Sagussans in fact as well as name, they'd get to better understand it. Janny's meisuyang leaps into Paama, egging him into going all the way, giving Negau everything she wants. He responds with gusto as his thrusts increase, the rush in his body reaching exploding point. In seconds, his seed showers her gate, causing her to buck as she strikes oil, which in turn triggers Janny's body to release its pent-up energies. All three scream out as their energy fades, Paama and Janny falling to one side as the former's deflating engine slips out of Negau's soaked gate. They lay there for a moment, then Janny crawls over to slip Paama's pants off, then moves to slip back the covers. Paama and Negau enjoy a pleasant kiss, then move up to get into that warm bed. He lays back as the two women slip in to both sides, the three enjoying a warm hug as fatigue takes over. "Well, loves?" Janny gazes at her child-mate and bond-mate. "Can we stand this for the rest of our lives?" "Eight hundred years," Paama muses. "Long time..." "I don't mind," Negau sighs as fatigue forces her to finally lose conscious. "I have the family I want..." "We all do..." Janny yawns as she falls asleep. Paama stares at the women he loves, then relaxes. "So do I." * * * To be continued...^Z
