I hope she never reads this story, as it would horrify her or any rational person for that matter. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- "Are you sure it's OK?", Ataru Moroboshi asked the first Tengu he had ever met, who had come by that evening for him. "Yesh, Yesh. She talks aboush yoush all da time!" The drunk crow-goblin-alien replied. True, the things the princess said about Ataru weren't very complementary, but her thoughts did tend to dwell on him and the way he always seemed to get in the way. The princess looked up from her drink and wondered, for the tenth time in the past hour, where her drinking partner had flown off to. She saw Ataru. "I thougsh I said dat I neversh wanted to see thish idiot again", she muttered to nobody in particular as she vainly tried to reach for one of the images of her control leaf that seemed to be floating around her cabin. The other Tengu where away that evening, applying the Princess's 37-part test to every man on Earth they met. "Kurama-chan!" Ataru ran up and kissed her. "Mmmph!" She replied. Was she really kissing him back? Did her hands really wander over his body as he undid her laces? Could it really feel so good as his lips and tongue moved to her breasts? Surely it was a all a drunken delusion as he entered her? That being the case, the princess gave herself into the dream. Perhaps he felt some contrition as her offered her what could only be considered better than average service six times that night. Or, maybe he was just a very horny bastard. At last, he collapsed in her arms, totally spent. Inside the princess's body many changes occurred as she changed from a Tengu princess into a queen. Most of Ataru's offering was safely stored away and just a tiny portion was put to immediate use. She snoozed for a while and then woke famished. "Food! I need food!" She turned to the drunk Tengu, who had sat through the earlier show, but he was now passed out. "Help me! I need to eat!" She pushed at Ataru, but he remained slumped over her. "Get off me you creep!" The hunger cut through her sanity like a razor and none of her servant brothers were present to tend to her need. She pushed at Ataru's arm, then stopped. This was meat. FOOD! She bit hungrily at his shoulder. He awoke screaming, but didn't scream long against her fanatical strength. Such was her haste that she scattered his scraped bones about her chambers, after cracking them open for the marrow. Very little of Ataru Moroboshi's final offering was wasted. "You!" She grabbed the Tengu who had finally been woken by Ataru's final screams and had sat staring in disbelief during her meal, "You did this to me!" She crushed and devoured her brother, then fell into a great sleep as conditions continued to develop within her body. When the other Tengu returned, to petition the princess to relax just a few of the selection criteria, they were most surprised to find the clothing and bones of the idiot scattered about her chambers. Well, at least their long stay on Earth was over. They gently tucked the queen back into the cold-sleep chamber and cleaned up her chamber, placing the refuse into the ship's recycling system as they began the long trip back to their planet. The next day, Lum was somewhat concerned, but true panic would not set in for another week. Eventually she was rather forcibly returned to her own planet. For the most part she lived out the rest of her years happily, in her padded and well insulated room, but her friends and family would find their visits somewhat depressing. Lum would always beg them to stay just a little while longer as her Darling was just about to return anyway and he hadn't seen them in so long. At some point they would always politely make their leave, just as they always politely turned down any requests for sharp objects. As for Queen Kurama, she noted with some pride how others would always remark on the persistence of the new generation of Tengu and generally how much more effective this new generation was in comparison to the last. She finally forgave them all, even Ataru, even if he had been a bit tough. Henry J. Cobb hcobb@slip.net http://www.io.com/~hcobb
